PITTSFIELD — The Pittsfield University Committee and the union symbolizing some faculty personnel are searching for support in their endeavours to negotiate a new deal.

The Pittsfield Federation of Faculty Personnel, which represents paraprofessionals, bus motorists and attendants, cafeteria personnel, custodians and instructional secretaries, and the University Committee have agreed to ask the Massachusetts Office of Labor Relations to enable mediate.

The parties have been in negotiations considering that final summer time. Contracts with the union’s custodian and education secretary units expired in June and the bus driver and attendant, cafeteria worker and paraprofessional contracts expired in August.
